Inauguration of 14th Batch of MBA 2019-21 @ SoM-PDEU

SoM MBA Batch 2019-21 (14th batch) students have kicked off their academic journey with a unique, week-long Orientation Programme. Mr. Sunil Parekh - Strategy Advisor at Zydus Cadila Healthcare Group and Jubilant Bhartia Group was the honorable Chief Guest of the Inaugural Ceremony of Orientation Programme held on June 17, 2019. Mr. Parekh, in his address expressed his immense joy in being part of the Inaugural Ceremony and wished the young graduates luck on their journey and also called upon them to be the change agents. On the august occasion, students and their parents also had opportunities to learn about school, university in addition to some career advises from Prof. C. Gopalkrishan, DG-PDEU, Prof. Pramod Paliwal, Dean, Faculty of Management-PDEU, Prof. D. M. Pestonjee, GSPL Chair Professor, Prof. Sudhir Yadav and Chairperson-Admission Committee.

The Week was then followed by sessions from industry experts and motivational speakers. SoM is known for its hands-on approach towards the learning and development of Business Students. Thus additionally, students also visited various companies like Indian Oil Terminal, LNG Express, Bosch Rexroth, Milacron, Sabarmati Gas and Dudhsagar Dairy as part of Industry Exposure Activity. The industrial visits taught students about the day-to-day working of respective industries and help them understand the operational issues.

Dr. Pramod Paliwal, Dean, SoM has been invited as a Speaker & Panelist in the 2nd Energy Branding Conference to be held at Reykjavik, Iceland on 9th & 10th October 2017. He shall be joining a galaxy of experts that among others include CEOs, Policy Makers and Energy Sector Branding Experts. He shall be deliberating on aspects of Energy Utility Branding. Dr. Paliwal has also been invited on the jury that shall be assessing the entries/case studies for Charge Energy Branding Awards 2017.
