Yes. The E MBA programme with hybrid mode learning facility has been designed in such a way that candidates don’t have to leave their jobs to join any of these programmes, i.e. they can simultaneously be in their job as well as pursue the programme.

The proposed programme shall be Executive MBA, a two-year programme for the working executives. The programme to be conducted through a flipped classroom pedagogy in blended mode(mix of on-campus and online modules). The two years’ programme is divided into four semesters consisting of 6 courses per semester.

Participants shall be allowed to choose a specialisation to build a domain identity as they progress to the second year from the following specialization areas:

  • General Management(HR/Marketing/Finance/Operations)
  • Energy Sector Management (Petroleum Management/ Power Sector Management)
  • Business Analytics

Exit Options: A participant enrolled in the programme may choose to exit after the first 6 months (Certificate in Management) or first year(Post Graduate Certificate in Management). However Executive MBA with specialization shall be awarded on the successful completion of the two years programme only.

Each session typically starts in July every year. Thereafter campus contact modules are scheduled every six months. Generally, the entire year’s modules are announced in advance so that candidates can plan their leaves accordingly.

Depending upon the extent of absence, the course instructors shall decide whether the candidate can be given special assignments to make-up for the missed module/classes or the repetition of the entire module with subsequent batch.

SoM is constituent School of Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar. PDEU has been established through the Gujarat State Legislature Act and is approved by Universities Grants Commission (UGC) under its section 2F (For details please visit this link: www.pdpu.ac.in). Thus being a University, PDEU is authorized to offer its academic programmes under its constituent schools/departments. E- MBA is also one of them.

Executive MBA is a Continuing Education Programme offered in blended mode, aimed at skill building and value- addition for the working executives. For eligibility towards pursuance of other higher studies and promotion/entry in organizations etc. the equivalence of Executive MBA shall be as per the norms prevailing at those respective institutions and organizations.

It has always been our strong belief that industry’s acceptance of these programmes is paramount. Moreover, the fact that right since 2008 many participants spread across many companies in and out of India across all executive education batches have earned their qualifications is a testimony towards this.

Step 2: Completing and submitting with requisite application fee as per instructions on the form.
Step 3: After the Application Rating and confirming the eligibility criterion, admission interview shall be organized. Candidates are encouraged to appear in person for admission interviews at SoM-PDEU campus. However, in cases where the candidates may be constrained to appear in person, Video Conferencing/Telephonic Conference interviews are organized.
Step 4: Upon the successful completion of the process, the candidate is offered provisional admission subject to verification of credential documents. The candidate has to pay requisite initial admission fees.

Yes. SoM-PDEU has residential hostels on the campus, separately for males and females. While in some cases local candidates may choose not to stay in the hostel, it is advisable to be on the campus all throughout the week of desirable group dynamics.

Delivery of courses through blended learning comprising of on-campus in the physical class modules and online modules.Different course instructors have different ways of keeping in touch with candidates, while they are off campus. The most common way is has been is to give assignments to the participants and ensure their timely submission. In addition to that participants from time to time are furnished with relevant study materials, documents etc. Moreover the participants while on campus are supplied with books/study material to carry back to their workplace/homes.

It has always been a practice to provide an opportunity to programme participants to receive their degree awards whenever PDEU Convocation ceremonies are organized. Those participants who are not able to attend the convocation ceremony have the choice of receiving the Diploma/Official Grade Sheet by Post/Courier as per PDEU norms.

Yes, we always encourage participants to make it convenient to join any academic event such as Expert/Distinguish Lectures, Student Festivals, use SoM-PDEU Library facilities etc. even when their campus contact modules may not be underway. Of course they must watch out for all such announcements on www.spm.pdpu.ac.in and social media platforms. The event organizers also make their best attempt to send e-mailers to participants.
