Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The programmes have been designed in such a way that candidates don’t have to leave their jobs to join any of these programmes, i.e. they can simultaneously be in their job as well as pursue the programme. It is only during the campus contact modules (for 1 week once every 3 months) that they have to be on SPM campus. Rest times they can use their flexibility at workplace or home to attain learning.

Both Programmes are of 2 year duration, with 8 campus contact weeks (one week in each quarter) spread over two years. Candidates have to attend sessions organized during these campus contact weeks. A total of 4 courses (of eight, 75 minutes’ sessions each; total 32 sessions per week)per campus contact week are offered and the participants have to attend all of them.

Each session typically starts in July every year. Thereafter campus contact modules ,at an average gap of 3 months, are scheduled. Generally the entire year’s modules are announced in advance so that candidates can plan their leaves accordingly. At times special requests, if any are considered for rescheduling. However majority of the batch has to agree for that. Previous module’s exams are conducted in the subsequent module. Last module’s exams are conducted in the last module itself and for that purpose, last module is extended by two days so that the exams are conducted and candidates do not have to visit campus only for examination.

Depending upon the extent of absence, the course instructors shall decide whether the candidate can be given special assignments to make-up for the missed module/classes or the repetition of the entire module with subsequent batch.
